This lesson presents a practical case in occupational medicine, and is meant for medical students. It concerns the case of Mr. Bun who has a work history in a bakery. Since a few years he suffers from complaints like red, itching eyes, runny nose, sneezing and recently he also developed wheeze and a cough with breathlessness.
The lesson is fully interactive and consists of 31 slides. The cards contain descriptive texts, questions and feedback, and illustrative pictures and movies. Certain terms used are explained. During the lesson, the learner is guided through the processes of making a diagnosis, prescribing proper tests, interpreting test results, reporting, and formulating treatment and preventive measures. At the end, the last few cards contain some multiple choice questions about occupational allergies.
