An extensive manual especially developed for the education of nurses, doctors and other primary care personnel in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of acute pesticide poisoning. The manual consists of 9 chapters (modules). The first module discusses the general aspects of pesticides, such as definitions, pest and pesticide classification, use and adverse effects of pesticides to health and environment. Subsequent modules teach the characteristics, toxicology, diagnosis and treatment of the various pesticide groups. The last module is about prevention.
The material is meant for doctors and other healthcare professionals that are involved in recognition, treatment and prevention.
