General introduction to occupational health. Module 2b: Introductory biostatistics

This interactive module provides the basic principles of biostatistics. It will teach basic data management and data analysis. It describes statistical concepts and enables to understand statistical methods in epidemiological research.

The course consists of one module. It covers such items as sampling, variables, data presentation, distributions and confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, comparison of means, correlations and non-parametric methods.

The understanding of some chapters can be tested interactively. Feedback is given on the correct answers.

The material is presented interactively and meant for students at university level.
